Our Story
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
Fellowship Olathe was a church revitalization and formally a campus of Lenexa Baptist Church. In September of 2018, Vista Baptist Church was re-launched as Fellowship Olathe under the guidance of Lenexa Baptist. Since the re-launch, the church has experienced tremendous growth and has served as a missional minded church family sharing the good news of the Gospel in Olathe and the greater Kansas City area.
In 2020, the Lord led Pastor Jeremy Allen from Lenexa Baptist Church to serve as the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Olathe.
Under God’s direction and Pastor Jeremy’s leadership, the church has continued to thrive and expand. On January 1, 2024 Fellowship Olathe became fully autonomous, functioning as it’s own church reaching the Olathe community for Christ.
Our Purpose
We exist to share the love and salvation found in Jesus Christ with our neighbors, community, and the world for the glory of God.
Our Leadership
We believe that Christ is the head of the Church. Felowship Olathe is pastoral led, deacon served, and congregationally affirmed. It is under the LOrdship of Christ that our pastoral team leads the congregation as under-shepherds. Our deacon body is made up of qualified men that serve the needs of our congregation. Our members make up our congregation and affirm church decisions in our business meetings.
Our Affiliations
Fellowship Olathe is affilitated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Every SBC church is completely independent. The SBC is a convention of churches, therefore there is no denominational control or hierarchy. Each church is self-governed and determines its own affairs.
- We choose our pastoral team.
- Own our buildings and assets.
- Determine our programs and overall direction.
One of the key reasons we hold an affiliation with the SBC is the Cooperative Program. The Cooperative PRogram pools the resources from each church in the convention to power the world’s largest mission sending agency reaching many for Christ.
