Mission Southside – ESL Training

Mission Southside helps our community learn English as a Second Languae every Tuesday evening at their main campus. Each student in the class is paired up with a language partner to help them get more comfortable speaking English.

City Union Mission – Family Shelter

 2nd Thursday of the month | 5:15 – 8:30 p.m.

Each month a small team from Fellowship Olathe goes to the family shelter of City Union Mission to minister to the folks there. Our team departs FO at 5:15pm and ministers during the chapel service from 6:45-7:45, then arrives home at approx. 8:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to truly be the hands and feet of Christ!

New Creations – Recovery Ministry

 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month | 7:30-8:45 pm

New Creations is a faith based program to help men overcome substance abuse disorder. We do a Bible study, interact with the men and have fellowship.

Southeast Asia

 Trip Dates: April 24 – May 2

 Estimated cost: $2,200

 Team Size: 5-6 (ages 18+)

The SE Asia Mission trip focusses on reaching the unreached in part of the 1040 window. Through pray walking, discipleship training and church planting, our goal would be to help engage with 12 unreached people groups in the region and help equip and establish new churches. Some walking and hiking may be required so there is a minimal physical condition requirement for this trip.  All meals and lodging are included in estimated cost. Final registrations for trip are due by February 27.

Nicaragua

 Trip Dates: November 1-8

 Estimated cost: $1,600

 Team Size: 15-20 (ages 14+)

The purpose of the Nicaragua Mission trip is to build houses and relationships with families in Nicaragua to share the gospel.  We will also minister to men, women, and children as individual groups during the week. We will be staying and the Project Hope base. All meals and lodging are included in estimated cost. Final registrations for trip are due by September 3.
